Shannon Alge
Real Estate Broker

Originally from the Midwest, I was a hospice nurse for many years, known for my down-to-earth personality and my deep compassion, selflessness, and kindness. Walking alongside my patients and their families through life’s hardest moments taught me that empathy, patience, and genuine listening can be as healing as medicine itself.

After years of caring for others in the nursing field, I discovered a new calling — helping people find a place they can truly call home. My journey from healthcare to real estate may seem like a big change, but at the heart of both is the same purpose: supporting people through life’s most meaningful transitions.

Real estate isn’t just about properties for me; it’s about people, stories, beginning a new chapter or the closing of an old chapter. I’m honored to help my clients take the next step in their chapter of their life book.

I comfortably bring my same strengths and qualities from my hospice nursing career into my real estate career — My background in nursing has given me the ability to connect on a personal level, handle challenges calmly, and create an experience that feels both professional and heartfelt as I am always looking out for the best interests of my clients, guiding them through big decisions with understanding and care.

My love for homes began long before real estate — I’ve always been drawn to the unique character of each house, from the tiniest architectural detail to the stories hidden in older spaces. I especially enjoy discovering those charming, unexpected features that make a property one of a kind.

I have many interests and sometimes it’s easier to tell you what I’m not interested in. But, when I’m not helping my clients, I’m happiest surrounded by creativity and nature. I love crocheting, crafting, photography (especially capturing the sky and nature), gardening, and restoring old furniture. You’ll often find me in antique and thrift shops or admiring classic cars and motorcycles. My house will always be full of plants, rocks, shells and other random things I may find along the way. The ocean will always be my favorite place. And, there will always be sand in my car.
